As summer begins to wind down, there is plenty happening both within Lake Forest Shores and throughout the greater Lake Forest community. Let's start by acknowledging our newly seated Board of Directors and thank everyone who participated in this year’s election; beginning with welcoming back Jason Osborn to the Board and Steve Voors as one of our newest directors. In addition, I want to congratulate returning Board members Glenn Larkin, Gavin Shu, and Jerry Thorton, who will continue serving the Lake Forest Shores community.

At the same time, I would like to recognize Tara Stack and Suzie Lemus by thanking them for the years of time, effort, and service they have given to Lake Forest Shores. To serve on a community association requires a considerable commitment, and we greatly appreciate the contributions they have made during their time on the Board.

As we enjoy the Labor Day weekend, even though it's a bit muggy outside, I want to take a moment to thank the millions of hardworking Americans whose dedication and perseverance help keep our country moving forward. I hope everyone in Lake Forest Shores enjoys a safe, relaxing, and well-deserved holiday weekend.

If you're looking for something to do, the Beach & Tennis Club is celebrating Labor Day with a Champagne Brunch. The clubhouse will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with brunch from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., live music from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and additional family activities throughout the day.

Speaking of the Beach & Tennis Club, there's an important change coming this fall. The Lake Forest Community Association has announced that Keystone Pacific Property Management will become the new property management company for the Beach & Tennis Club effective October 1, 2026. Residents should watch for additional information regarding any changes to contact information, administrative procedures, billing, homeowner services, or other day-to-day operations.

With a new Board in place, Labor Day marking the unofficial end of summer, and changes ahead at the Beach & Tennis Club, there is certainly a lot happening around the community. As always, I hope everyone continues to enjoy everything Lake Forest Shores has to offer, and I wish all of our residents a safe and enjoyable start to the fall season.
