Yasss! Finally DONE!

September 5, 2021

It's time to celebrate by paying tribute to America's workforce! And with that in mind, it means taking some much needed time-off for relaxation to soak up the sun at the newly renovated Beach & Tennis Club, which is approx. 85% complete (the lagoon is still under construction). The pool(s) are accessible without reservation and I have a feeling it is going to be a busy Labor Day weekend, so make sure to arrive early.

It is a Labor Day celebration at the Beach & Tennis Club
Of course, I hope everyone reads the monthly Beach & Tennis Club newsletter, but on Labor Day access to the premises is only available from 9:00am - 4:00pm with event tickets. It is FREE for members and $8 for each guest (up to 4 guests per household) to enjoy live music, food/drinks, and games.

Before continuing with more information on the Beach & Tennis Club, I want to let everyone know that a new Community Manager, Melissa Sanchez, has been assigned to Lake Forest Shores. The contact page has been updated, so if you have any questions or concerns regarding Lake Forest Shores, please reach out to her. Usually, the representatives at Crummack Huseby are good at responding back within a timely manner.

As for the latest information pertaining to what is happening within Lake Forest Shores, I have been getting complaints via email regarding parking violations and noise disturbances, specifically barking. It is important to know that if you witness any ongoing violations, you should submit your report / findings to the Community Manager. Again, the contact information can be found by clicking here. To clarify, the online form is to contact me; the owner / webmaster. If you want to reach the Community Manager, please use the email and/or telephone number listed on the page above the form.

As a reminder, this website is privately owned and is NOT associated with the property management company or the Board.

Now that that's out of the way (yes, I can use "that" twice in a row and still be grammatically correct), time to go back to discussing the fun stuff at the Beach & Tennis Club. We all know it has been a long time waiting, but I'm glad it's over. For those wanting to use the lagoon, it might not happen until 2023. As for the rest, get ready for some fun.

I know we're reaching the end of the summer, but there are a few more events to enjoy. The "Summer Bar" is back at the North Pool where having drinks under the sun is the theme of the event. The last one is being held on Sept. 26, 2021, so don't miss out (adults only). Another event is the "Summer Movie Nights on the Beach" which is great for the whole family. If you missed all of the previous movies, you will have a chance to catch one more on Sept. 17, 2021 before the summer ends. For all of you sports fans, the Lake View Lounge (upper lounge) will be open for Monday Night Football (Must be 21+).

There are other events coming up, so make sure you sign-up to receive notification emails for the latest about everything that is happening at the Beach & Tennis Club. If anything, it makes for good reading. ^.^

Here are some pictures:

Entrance to the Beach & Tennis Club
Elevator at the entrance of the Beach & Tennis Club
Seating at the Jr. olympic pool
BBQ area by the jacuzzi and Jr. olympic pool
As you can tell in the pictures, the jacuzzi was moved outside with added bbq grills and a fire pit, plus elevated seating in some areas. In addition, the front of the building and guest services desk area have been renovated, plus the addition of an elevator makes it easier to access the upper / downstair lounge areas and boardroom.

Even though the lagoon is unusable, there are multiple pools at the Beach & Tennis Club that will keep you cool during this hot Labor Day weekend. And let's not forget our own pool within the Lake Forest Shores community.

Stay cool. Be safe!
