End of Summer Announcements

August 27, 2018

It won't be too long before school starts again and that's usually a sign that summer is coming to an end. There are only a few more weeks until September 23, 2018 when it's officially over. For the meantime, keep enjoying the warm weather & outdoor activities; it will soon be over, so go outside for a hike in the wilderness trails, bike ride around the city, swimming at the beach, barbeque with family & friends, walk the stores at the newly remodeled Irvine Spectrum, or simply stay indoors and enjoy the A/C like I've been doing most of the summer. That being said, let's move forward with an important announcement regarding a BIG change...

In case you didn't know, Lake Forest Shores is cancelling their services with Associa PCM and obtaining a new property mgmt. company, Crummack Huseby. If you did not receive a copy of the introductory letter that was sent via U.S. mail, please download the notice for your review.

This is an exciting moment by moving forward in the right direction. Their contact information will be posted on the website starting September 1, 2018, but the introductory letter has a lot of valuable information regarding their contact information, emergencies, billing / payments and community portal; the latter is suppose to provide real-time information, account balance, online forms, association documents, community newsletter and more.

If this works out better than Associa PCM's fiasco, TOWNSQ, I may have to close shop and figure something else to do during my free time. :-(

Additionally, as a reminder, please be responsible pet owners; refer to the CR&R under "Pets / Animals" regarding picking up after your pet(s): "Pet owners are to pickup after their animal(s) at all times. Any resident, be it homeowner or renter, who walk their dog(s) within any part of the complex must pickup their dog'(s) waste". Moreover, the board has done a wonderful job in making it as convenient as possible by placing "dog waste stations" all around the community for easy access.

Pet waste containers are placed throughout the community to simplify picking up after your pet
There is no excuse for not picking up after your pet, so please be responsible and more importantly, courteous to your neighbors by doing the right thing.

As for enjoying the rest of the summer days, check out the "Labor Day Champagne Brunch and Pool Party" at the Beach & Tennis Clubhouse on Monday, September 3, 2018, starting at 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Brunch will be available to those who pick up tickets by Friday, August 31, 2018) - Members are FREE & guests are $7.00.

There will be a poolside bar from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., plus activities for everyone to enjoy, i.e. face painting, balloon twister, music, dancing, limbo and fun contests. Let's not forget the delicious BBQ being served by Boy Scout Troop 628 from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be plenty to do, but come early to find your place by the lagoon or around the pools.

Another favorite is "Friday Night Bar & Karaoke" in the upstairs Lake View Lounge to sing some of your favorite tunes or sit back, listen and enjoy a good drink to help relax after a tough week at work. Come by and mingle with friends and neighbors this Sept. 7th & Oct. 5th starting @ 7:00 p.m.

Let's not forget "Line Dancing with Rosa" where beginners and anyone who loves to dance can come join the fun and line dance to Country Western, Latin and Pop tunes. This is a fantastic activity that shouldn't be missed. The cost is $35 per month. Classes are Tues. from 6:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.:

- September 4th, 11th, 18th & 25th
- October 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th
- November 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th

Lastly, who can forget the Irvine Spectrum and the "Endless Summer Series" filled with weeks of fun entertainment for everyone of all ages to enjoy! Come check out the newly remodeled $200 million expansion featuring the 43,536-square-foot two-story H&M store, plus Hello Kitty Café, Sephora and 85°C Bakery Café, plus 25+ more that are not mentioned in this post.

The Irvine Spectrum has always been one of my favorite places and by the looks of things, it will continue with the expansion of new retail stores, casual dining to full service restaurants, and attractions & entertainment.
